Israel Police arrest 17-year-old suspected of killing father

Police arrested a 17-year-old Saturday on suspicion of stabbing his 47-year-old father to death in the city of Beit Shemesh, near Jerusalem.

The police received a report in the afternoon of a man critically wounded in his upper body. Medics arrived and performed CPR, but the man was ultimately declared dead at the scene.

The 17-year-old fled the house, but was apprehended by police shortly after.

The murder is the second to take place in the city this week. Last Friday, a 52-year-old woman was murdered by stabbing in Beit Shemesh by her 27-year-old son.The son has a psychiatric history and police suspect that the murder was related to his mental condition.
