Gunfire was exchanged between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians on Sunday morning in two separate incidents in the West Bank during IDF operations to detain wanted persons, Palestinians report.

One incident occurred in Burqin near Jenin and another incident in Kafr Bidu near Ramallah.

Last month, four Palestinians were killed by special undercover Israeli forces in an arrest operation in the West Bank on Monday morning, the Israeli army said. The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the number of killed.

The four people were killed after the Israeli forces entered the refugee camp in Jenin to arrest a Hamas suspect, leading to armed Palestinians opening fire at them. Three other Palestinians were injured.
